Trinity College, Dublin is Ireland's oldest and most famous university. it was founded in 1592 by Elizabeth I.
In the Old Library, a beautiful 18th century building, you can see the Book of Kells. This Latin copy of the four gospels is about 1,300 years old. It is famous for its decorated pages and beautiful colours. Many of the letters have the shape of animals. There are also a lot of illustrations of characters from the Bible. The Book of Kells is one of Ireland's greatest art treasures.
